TERRELL DAVIS / DEFY FOUNDER & NFL HALL OF FAMER 

Denver Broncos legend, NFL Hall of Famer and entrepreneur, Terrell Davis had a historic career in the NFL from 1995 to 2001. Davis was drafted by the Denver Broncos in the sixth round (196th pick overall) of the 1995 NFL Draft. As the Denver Broncos all-time leading rusher, with 7,607 rushing yards, he was sent to the Pro Bowl in the 1996, ’97, and ’98 seasons. Davis led the Broncos to back-to-back Super Bowl wins in the 1997 and ’98 seasons, and was named the Super Bowl MVP in Super Bowl XXXII against the then-world champion Green Bay Packers. Nicknamed “TD” by players, fans and the media, the moniker represents both his initials as well as his signature touchdowns. Davis popularized the “Mile High Salute,” a military-style salute given to fans and teammates in celebration of a touchdown. On September 23, 2007, TD was inducted into the Denver Broncos Ring of Fame, in a Broncos home game against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Davis was inducted into the Breitbard Hall of Fame in 2006, and into the NFL Hall of Fame in 2017. 

BEAU WEHRLE / DEFY FOUNDER, PRESIDENT & CHAIRMAN OF THE BOARD 

Beau Wehrle has extensive experience in complex alternative investment opportunities and establishing exceptional client relationships. Prior to establishing Caerus Partners, LLC, Beau was a Partner and Managing Director with Prairie Capital Management LLC (PCM), an independent asset manager and wealth management consulting firm that specializes in alternative investments including proprietary internal Hedge (FOFs) and Private Equity (FOFs). PCM manages over $7 Billion of assets for ultra high net worth private clients/families, foundations, endowments, and universities. Beau was part of an elite council that was accountable for making investment selections for the firm. Prior to PCM, Beau served as Vice President of Intermediary Sales for Man Investments Inc., one of the world’s largest hedge fund / alternative investment mangers. He was responsible for consulting with financial advisers regarding the implementation of alternative investment strategies to individuals, corporations, trusts, and foundations in the western half of the United States. Prior to Man Investments Inc., Beau gained comprehensive financial experience, serving as a Regional Director for the Janus Capital Group in the Institutional Sales Division, where he was responsible for a twelve state region. He is a member of Young Presidents Organization (YPO) and received his B.G.S. from the University of Kansas. 

MEGAN BUSHELL / DEFY FOUNDER & CEO 

Megan Bushell joined an early-stage startup in 2010 on a mission to change the video content and advertising landscape. As President, Strategic Partnerships at Direct Sports Network (DSN), Megan led operations, marketing, and business development, growing DSN from a single pilot program with the New England Patriots to partnerships with 40+ teams across 5 professional sports leagues (NFL, NHL, MLS, NBA, and a league-partnership with NASCAR). Megan oversaw strategy and daily operations of the business, which included managing a staff of 40 employees and bringing in key relationships, including Sony, Amazon, Microsoft, Hyundai, Genesis, StateFarm, and Buffalo Wild Wings. She played a vital role in negotiating a platform partnership with Sony, launching DSN on 2+ million Sony Smart TVs globally in 2017. Megan earned an MBA from Pepperdine University, and holds dual Bachelor’s degrees from Wichita State University. A Top Ten Finalist at Miss America, Megan was Miss Kansas 2004 and received a Presidential Service Award for her work with Domestic Violence prevention. 

ERIC FROHARDT / DEFY NATION 

Eric Frohardt is a former Navy SEAL with nearly 12 years of active duty service to our nation. While on active duty, he served at various SEAL Teams. He deployed numerous times to hot spots around the world, in support of the Global War on Terror. He received various medals and commendations in the process. As a SEAL, Eric was trained in the use of various firearms, demolition, explosives, radio and computer communications, combat diving, parachute operations, combat casualty care (first aid), survival in various environments, climbing, hand-to-hand combat and tactical driving. He was also a sniper. While on active duty, Eric also climbed El Capitan, in Yosemite National Park, CA. He also completed 2 of the 7 summits, Denali and Aconcagua both without the use of supplemental oxygen. Eric was medically retired at the beginning of 2010 as a SEAL Operator Chief, SOC, or E-7. After leaving the Navy, Eric co-founded the BluCore Shooting Center, an indoor shooting range, gun store and firearms training facility. Following BlueCore, he became the CEO of StrongFirst, a premium strength and fitness education company with a global presence of more than 3,500 instructors. He also volunteers for the Navy SEAL Foundation, serving on the committee for their Denver based event, “An Evening of Tribute.” 

MARK KOVACS / DEFY ADVISORY BOARD 

Dr. Mark Kovacs is a performance physiologist, researcher, professor, author, speaker and coach with an extensive background training and researching elite athletes, and he specializes in optimizing human performance by the practical application of cutting edge science. He formerly directed the Sport Science, Strength & Conditioning and Coaching Education departments for the United States Tennis Association (USTA) and was the Director of the Gatorade Sport Science Institute. He currently serves as the Executive Director of the International Tennis Performance Association (iTPA); Dr. Kovacs is a Fellow of the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM). He was an All-American and NCAA doubles champion in tennis at Auburn University and earned his PhD from the University of Alabama. He is a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), Certified Tennis Performance Specialist (CTPS) and Master Tennis Performance Specialist (MTPS) through the iTPA, and in 2012 he was the youngest ever recipient of the International Tennis Hall of Fame Educational Merit Award. He has worked with hundreds of elite athletes in dozens of sports providing high performance sport science services in the lab, on the court, field, pitch, track and ring.

No. The performance spectrum CBD extract used in our products contains 0% THC. Our products are third party tested, and Certificates of Analysis for each batch may be found on our website under Quality Control.

Iconic professional athlete, Pro Football Hall of Famer, Super Bowl MVP and successful entrepreneur, Terrell Davis (TD) is DEFY Founder and Chief Development Officer. DEFY was inspired by his fitness journey and struggle with injury and inflammation following his career in the NFL. He partnered with DEFY Founder and CEO, Megan Bushell. A former Miss America finalist, Megan has wide ranging expertise in entrepreneurship and previously managed strategic partnerships with multinational corporations and 40+ teams across 5 professional sports leagues. The third founding partner and DEFY President & Chairman, Beau Wehrle, brings extensive experience in complex alternative investment opportunities and exceptional client relationships to the team.
